Merlin

My paintings reflect the patterns of the web of life. All patterns are improvisations and evolve and vary from painting to painting. “Merlin” uses stormy yin and yang like patterns.

The subject matter is secondary and in this case are is derived from the myth or some say, the actual life of Merlin. He studies you, and offers “The Yellow Glain”, also known as “The Magical Snake’s-Egg” from a Hermetic creation myth. With this bestowal Merlin urges you to wake from life’s enchantment and “open the Books of Inspiration without fear.”

"Merlin"

I am including another old painting entitled "Merlin"

I am adding a very old painting in the hands of my second wife, who I am grateful to know.  It is a small very detailed painting with a theme I still study.

The title is "Emergence"

My paintings "Irises" and "Dafodils" both lost when our house burnt to the ground in the Cedar Fire, in Julian, California in 2003.

I have been painting with Liquitex for along time.  Here is a picture of tubes bought in the early 70s that I bought for .90 cents.

I modified this painting from little nudges from someone special.

My newest painting called; "Mother & Child in a Robe of Many Colors"   I believe this will be the next to last in this series.
