"Waking up" tries to use colors available in Paleolithic times.  Oxides.  This is a small painting used to experiment with this palette and new patterns. I will use the results of this painting for larger paintings now in progress.

In earlier paintings available for viewing at www.pantarhea.com, I focused on innovating patterns with the "subject matter" being secondary.  In my "Mother & Child" series the intimacy of the "subject matter" is primary, with patterns designed to enhance this mood.
