"Stromatolites" or the "Oxygen Revolution" inspired by Andrew H. Knoll's book "Life on a Young Planet"

The sky was red and full of carbon dioxide, shallow seas, and then a young life form, Stromatolites, grew in these oceans and begun to breath carbon dioxide, and exhale oxygen....skies became blue.  This small painting is in honor of that revolution.  It is on display now at the Museum of the Living Artist in Balboa Park.
